Manner – a way to lead the hand
Manner is a performance that showcases Sloth Rousing’s first collection and installation.
Shirts and a tablecloth will unite and become turning points of a performance. Food will be served, and the table will be set for what seems like a conventional dinner. While performers are consuming the carefully curated courses, the setting will change with spills staining the installation, turning the tablecloth into reflections in reference to sloth rousing’s first collection.
The performance takes place while models wait the table, wearing the manner collection and, by interacting with the ever-changing installation, create a continuous balance between the collection, worn on the body, and the table, explored through the performance.
Manner seeks to tell a story on how traces are made from the movements of our hands.
Manner performance is made in collaboration with textile designer Anna Clarisse Holck Wæhrens.
