We are proud to share our spring 2015 - out of the blue show with you. The show was held yesterday during Copenhagen Fashion Week and is part two of the Charlottenborg trilogy.
´The spring 2015 collection is all optimism and energy. The starting point was a Mozart clarinet concerto we’d been playing in the studio, which has this incredible lightness and effortlessness – the music just falls into place. I’d also been looking at the precision of the suits speedway racers wear. There is a light, crisp cotton feel to everything. More than anything I wanted newness. Lightness and newness. An optimistic, light spirit.´ – Mads Nørgaard
Spring 2015 takes Mads Nørgaard womenswear in a crisp, sporty direction, with vests, track skirts, cotton shirts and suiting elements borrowed from menswear. In refreshing shades of blue and white, the silhouette is lean and athletic, with a little volume in dresses and blouses. The men’s collection keeps the same cool attitude, with a slightly tougher, masculine edge.
To match the rich attitude and the artistic heritage of the brand, Mads Nørgaard shows the new collection at the sculpture school Charlottenborg at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The striking location has nourished creative talent for more than 250 years, making the institution one of the oldest art schools in the world. The live soundtrack is provided by Darkness Falls, a Danish duo known for their evocative performances fueled by rich vocals and insisting drum beats. Today, they are premiering their brand new song ‘wow’.
