Olafur Eliasson’s Little Sun is undoubtedly one of the most important artworks of our generation.
Little Sun is at once a social business that produces solar lamps and chargers for off-grid communities, a work of art, and a way to connect the world through sharing energy.
On November 26 we invite friends and family to come by Nørgaard paa Strøget, as we celebrate the progress of the global project together with Olafur Eliasson.
Ever since Eliasson and solar engineer Frederik Ottesen launched the Little Sun Original in 2012 to get clean, affordable energy to the 1.1 billion people worldwide living without electricity in ‘off-grid’ areas, we have had the pleasure of selling it in our stores and sharing this great project with our customers. To support this great project, Mads Nørgaard – Copenhagen is now teaming up with Olafur Eliasson for a day in the light of Little Sun.
In addition to Little Sun Original lamp as we know it, Little Sun has now produced a solar charger with an inbuilt lamp that allows people in areas without electricity to light up their surroundings after sunset and charge their phones.
