FIVE FAVOURITES: FREDERIKKE BRASCH

FIVE FAVOURITES: FREDERIKKE BRASCH

Frederikke Brasch Nielsen is an avid runner, a sneaker freak and a frequent traveller. Always on the run, literally and figuratively, the healthy lifestyle advocate has an international outlook while remaining loyal to her native Copenhagen. We managed to slow her pace for a few minutes, sit her down and ask her about her Five Favourites right now.

The Read
I’m actually a fond reader of the Danish men’s magazine Euroman. Great journalism and content that digs deeper than the average fashion titles. Plus, I like to read what men think in order to understand them better, haha.

The Item
My most recent purchase is a white T-shirt from Comme des Garçons PLAY with a big, red heart on the front. For a very long time I’ve been dreaming about jewelry designer Sophie Bille Brahe’s new Elipse Siacca, and my sweet family gifted it to me on my birthday the other week. I admire Sophie’s design and incredible universe. Oh, and of course I’m wishing for a classical turtleneck from Mads Nørgaard.

The Destination
My grandmother has been living in Jamaica for 30 years and I love to visit her. She’s an artist and owns a lovely house by the water. The internet is only working every second day, so when I’m visiting her it’s time for relaxation and clearing my mind. On a busier note, New York City has a special place in my heart. My sister has a cozy apartment in the Meatpacking District and I visit her 3-4 times every year. I have a large group of friends over there, and I always get inspired food and workout wise when I’m visiting.

The Local
It might be a cliché but my parents run a nice little salad and sandwich shop called Fredco’s Deli. It’s named after me and my sister Caroline. Not a day goes by without me visiting. Also, I only live five minutes away.

The Sound
Right now I’m listening to Jamie xx – “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)” on repeat. The track makes me happy. I have to admit that I also listen to Justin Bieber – “What Do You Mean” at least once a day. I guess there’s still a young teenager hidden inside me, haha. Finally, I’m really looking forward to Pernille Rosendahl’s new record. I’ve been fortunate enough to listen to a few tracks, and there’s lots to look forward to!
