With its grace, black and white edgyness and exceptional appearance, Cecilie Bahnsen’s fall collection took us by storm. When we saw Cecilie’s show at Copenhagen Fashion Week we immediately wanted to buy it all and show it in its entirety in our store in Strøget in Copenhagen. So that’s what we did.
We have now invited Cecilie Bahnsen to curate our store on September 8-9 2017. Cecilie will decide on everything from window decorations and trim to soundtrack, as well as curate our ‘culture corner’ Let’s Exchange, which has previously been curated by Maria Gerhardt, Kirsten Delholm and Olafur Eliasson. In addition, Cecilie Bahnsen has designed a special #101 T-shirt to be sold exclusively in our store with the collection.
Mads Nørgaard says:
“At Nørgaard, we have always supported emerging talent in fashion and art, and we are very proud to welcome Cecilie Bahnsen in Nørgaard Paa Strøget. We have bought the entire collection, which is remarkable. Usually our customers only see parts of a collection and it’s rare to be able to display the designer’s full vision, but Cecilie deserves just that. I think it’s going to be absolutely outstanding, and we are looking very much forward to experience Cecilie’s takeover of our beautiful store.”
Cecilie Bahnsen (1984) has a degree from Royal College of Art in London. In 2016 she won Dansk Design Talent Magasinprisen and was the first ever Danish finalist to the prestigious LVMH Prize. Her designs can be found in leading stores across the world, including Dover Street Market.
