Nikolaj Møller presents Billig Knipning – a portrait series from Ilayah Lassen's hairdresser in Odense, DK.
Photographer Nikolaj Møller connected with Ilayah Lassen through his family and learned about her hairdresser ”Billig Knipning” where she cuts her friends’ hair for 80 DKK and shares before-and-after photos on Instagram. Nikolaj immediately fell in love with the Instagram profile. For him it represented the purest form of youth, an acceptance of imperfection, diversity and vitality – and something that needed to be documented.
Mads Nørgaard has supported Nikolaj’s project and the outcome is a honest and heartfelt series of portraits of Ilayah’s friends wearing our 101 t-shirts while getting a haircut. The portraits will be exhibited in Nørgaard paa Strøget and published as a book. Join the exhibition opening and book launch Friday 23rd of September, 4-6pm in Nørgaard paa Strøget. Open to everyone!
